NATO needed to act fast in March 2022 to get the Russians kicked out of Ukraine:
extreme air power, boots on the ground, Tomahawk missiles.
They let Putin get a foothold and they the Ukrainians bleed slowly to death
by supplying just enough weapons to cause a stalemate.
