The ages of 28 Greenland sharks were determined using radiocarbon dating of eye proteins, revealing that one female shark was about 400 years old. According to the scientists, some of these guys could be as much as 512 years old! This makes the Greenland shark the longest-living vertebrate known on Earth, surpassing the previous record holder, a bowhead whale estimated to be 211 years old.

Mostly blind due to an eye parasite. As big as a Great White and aged like a chilled fine wine over centuries.
I wonder if they'll start hunting Sleeper Sharks as some delicacy to improve longevity?
As it mostly scavenges dead things, I don't think I could stomach it's quality of meat taste. I don't like crocodile for this reason either with its diet of 'rot'.
