True just like lazy Christians ignorant of the bible can forego most of what the bible says in favour of democracy.
The Mayans predicted the end of the world in December 2012, but they didn't see the Spanish coming

Literalism just doesn't work with such texts. To many contradictions for anyone to honestly take them too seriously :roll:
