Re: My Word.........le
That's not playing chess, thats cheating.
When you're utilising technology to calculate your next best move, where's the skill in that?
I want to play move for move with either a bot or another person lol
I'm a game purist, this is probably why it's my favourite game of all time. I like draughts, even connect four ha ha, but they don't last long. My old friend who passed away had the chess board set up on their coffee table. If you visited them, it was protocol, they put the jug on for coffee and the guest would sit and ponder their next move. Life was like this once upon a time, when we weren't distracted by technology, 24 hour news cycles etc.
I think I may have been born into the wrong era at times.
This friend of mine was German, and had a brilliant personality and mind.

Why is it cheating?
The actual game moves are shown which could be wrong
and the posters analyze it as well with their opinions.

This is more akin to observing someone else play, rather than playing yourself. There's nothing like the clean fresh feeling of a brand new game of chess, this feels like I've walked in on someone else's game who requires help or oversite.
Lol
I want to play my own game of chess, not someone else's Bobby.

Re: My Word.........le
How about I get my ultra flexible daughter to play a game of twister, and after several spins of the wheel, I'll remove her from the twister mat and put you in her place. You can finish the game off for her as best you can.
Caviot- You can't enjoy the feeling of playing autonomously, as the wheels already been spun for you, several, 37 actually, moves in advance.
Sound like fun?
Oh, and you have to listen to the Barby movie sound track or Taylor Swift while you're twisting on the mat. You can't even choose the music, much less the moves you'd prefer to make in order to start the game. You may start in the assigned position my darling daughter created for you, which looks somewhat like a scorpion, that's twisted underneath itself.
Sound fun?
I can hear your vertebrae chattering like teeth from here in Ballarat.
In short-
I think everyone has their own style, likes to open a game of chess their own way, and it would be great if it could not be so difficult, so I can pick it up again. Like I said, it's been many years since I've played, and so I'm a little rusty.
This link you gave me was like throwing a cripple on a twister mat.
U think I can pick it back up this quickly, halfway through someone else's game?

Fair point Bobby, I guess I'm just nervous about diving back into a game I've been out of for a while.
I see you've completed the Christmas wordles, with SALET, I'll be back, I'll see if I can beat you today.
