Re: What's for dinner?
My own home cooking! After being away for a month depending on meals from restaurants etc it sure was good to get back into my own kitchen.
Worst part is getting out of habit cooking then coming home… no buffet
Just wish this fatiguing jet lag would disappear soon!
As for breakfast… I only ate Brekky because of busy days ahead with guide… walking tours! Up and down stairs too!
Otherwise I don’t have breakfast… just a coffee… then an hour or two later, a toast with butter and Vegemite.
Just look at this what I had on cruise! Little missy piggy!
Honestly cake? But gee it was soft and fluffy!

Re: What's for dinner?
way too well!
I came back a bit puffier!
It’s easing back now thank goodness.
Finally over jet lag and had a good sleep last night.
I’ve never been as happy as coming back to our own turf…Australia is the best!
Places I liked the best was Venice… I would go back again in a heart beat.
Because we were in a travel group (trip a deal) we only got to see the Eiffel Tower 20 mins from a distance with the rising morning sun from behind the tower.
The hotel we were put in was nowhere near anything in the back blocks… some knew how to go by train and went at night to see the lights on the tower, I saw their photos… it was so pretty, the Olympic rings were still on there.

Re: What's for dinner?
Back to food, it’s not easy finding a French restaurant in France, a Swiss restaurant in Switzerland, I gave no idea what national food is in Dubai, but Italian and Vietnamese restaurants everywhere, and Greek restaurants easy to find in Santorini and Mykonos. Their yoghurt ice cream is to die for!
Now I’ll be hunting for it in Melbourne!
In the meantime, here’s a weird entre on board ship… it was very tasty with a beautiful soupy sauce of some kind…

Yummy Mussels. Look like you've got a hydrothermal vent on your table Sophia.
Welcome back too!
You've hit a sore point in Restaurants in countries.
When I was in Rotorua with my then wife. We were standing (I kid you not!!) on a street block and I was saying to her "I'm sick of bloody the same stuff (restaurants, diners, etc) we can get anywhere and even home. Bloody Italian, Chinese, Indian, Maccas, (etc, etc) - just like back home. I want to eat some real New Zealand styled food!!!!"
My then wife said "Look! A New Zealand Restaurant just here."
I'm like a delayed retard unable to comprehend time and space of being right in front of a 'New Zealand' styled restaurant... well, no I wasn't - my reaction was like "Cool!" and we walked straight in immediately before it disappeared from our consciousness like some illusion.
It was a very wonderful feeling and vibe being in a New Zealand Restaurant 'in' New Zealand. The food was amazing and in some ways - original in taste, style and type.
Reckon you've turned into a bit of a 'pud' with all that good eating in Europe Sophia. Why not? It's there to be enjoyed on such occasions.
