As long as you get the right results.UnSubRocky wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 2:59 amBobby, there were hardly any overweight people in the 1930s and 1940s. My grandmother told me about how her childhood was about cutting back on food consumption, in the 1930s and 1940s. If she saw an overweight person in her area, they would have been rich.Bobby wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 5:31 pmBut it's right though isn't it?UnSubRocky wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 5:16 pmWhooooaaah! Then my metabolism will slow down after the initial success of getting rid of water weight.
Better to just do the low-carbs diet.
Those poor people only got a bowl of turnip soup every day.
They sure lost a lot of weight.
Just because you say that Auschwitz detainees were thin because they were on a starvation diet, it is not appropriate to compare their devastating experience with someone like me who rejects the idea of going on a low calorie diet.
I had a reasonably large dinner tonight. Then I went for a walk in the cold night air. I sat at a bus stop for about 30 minutes, playing games on my mobile and facebooking. Then I got back up and put the backpack on. After about 150 metres, I realised that I was starting to feel hungry. It became obvious that my dieting has been working quite alright. Having got out of my workout clothes, I noticed that I had strengthened my muscies quite a bit in that hour. There is no need to go on a low calorie diet unless you want to lose weight fast. I would rather build muscle and let the fat slowly fade away. Even if I initially gain weight from muscle gain, the fat cell depletion would bring my weight down.

yes 10 minutes is good.UnSubRocky wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 3:00 amTonight, I boiled the eggs for 10 minutes. They have come out well. I will stick to 10 minutes from now on.
The center of the yokes should not be powdery.
If the eggs are small, 8 to 9 minutes is better.

Eggs are good. Try not to get the mass-production rubbish eggs (they get x5 fumigations of Formaldehyde in the Setters for starters and come from chickens of poor nutritional standards).
Raw Eggs are good for the brain (saw a good clip on this regarding if eating 'raw' is good for you and it is) and cooked (white) is where the protein is made for the body.
You can tell a good egg (rich 'golden' to dark orange yoke) to a rubbish mass-production egg (yellow, pale yellow and weak yoke)

Just something quick for dinner tonight: pasta with peas and corn, lettuce, tomato and onion salad, and pork sausages.

I sometimes just enjoy x4 meat pies in the micro-zapper with some tomato sauce on them - occassionally I'll melt some block-sliced cheese on top of them for an extra minute.

Tonight was pan-fried flathead (I just coated it in flour and sprinkled on a bit of salt and pepper, nothing fancy), a vegetable casserole with onion, potatoes, carrots and zucchinis, and a green salad. And a couple of glasses of a nice red......
