Good point.
The G-G needs to step up against all this... except the new G-G is a Media Lefty goon like the rest of them.
Why do we have a Governor General?

How bad does our Govt. need to be before the GG
would sack the lot of them and call for a new election?

One day a Governor-General will forfeit his loyalty to Britain, on behalf of Australia and bring about the public execution of a Prime Minister who betrays Australia on behalf of the USA. After that, the Governor-General will be forced to spend the rest of the term of his natural life stuck in Australia... warming his slippers by the fire, eating some good Aussie tucker.

That sounds like a good deal for any GG. :)

A Triad of Tyranny compliments of Albanese and Labor

By Senator Malcolm Roberts May 3, 2024

Three Bills are being rammed through the Senate to create legislation that will transform the UN-WEF plans for surveillance and control into a dystopian reality in Australia.

The first is the Identity Verification Services Bill 2023, which is designed to permit the use of biometric data to locate and track citizens and normalise it. The second, the Digital Identity Bill 2023, will ensure Australians have no choice but to succumb to setting up a digital ID. The third is the Misinformation and Disinformation Bill 2023. This is the censorship tool to make sure both the media and social media carries government sanctioned opinions only. The government in power is exempted and free to be the Ministry of Truth, spreading misinformation or disinformation. Remember how well that went during the COVID response?

The Driver’s Licence database is being upgraded to become the repository of your master identification record, which is already being used to establish your identity with a paper check and now with a facial scan.

I implored the Senate to vote against and to reject this Bill. This is the first of three Bills necessary to turn Australia into the world’s first World Economic Forum digital prison.

They are making out that it's voluntary but it won't be -
it will all become compulsory.

Probably eventually it will but, until then, PUSH BACK! I push back on going cashless and will continue to use cash and avoid any business that refuses cash. There are many groups involved.

Just as an aside -
we already have a sort of Digital ID.

When you buy property: a house or unit or apartment -
you have to go through PEXA by law -
that includes you using your mobile phone to read out a code word they give you
while on video and that is automatically uploaded to PEXA.
So the Govt has a video of your face and a voice print as well.
You also need to photograph many documents too which are all uploaded.
You don't even get a Title Deed - it's all digital now.
I don't know what happens to the old Title Deed from the previous owner?
None of that was discussed.
If you can't do all that then you have to go to your conveyancer who
puts you on video via their desktop etc to help you do it all.
Will the new Digital ID wipe all that out?
I doubt it.

I think we all have aright to be paranoid given the appalling record of
cyber hacking – even from Govt. places:
https://news.rebekahbarnett.com.au/p/br ... australian

And private industry:
Australia has been roiled by several major hacks in recent years,
including on Optus, Medibank, Latitude Financial, law firm HWL Ebsworth
and stevedore DP World and now MediSecure.

Optus alone had over 10 million records stolen.
10 million customers hacked including me.
As we speak – we all have our names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses &
driver's license numbers out there in the hands of hackers,
all over the world just waiting to assume our identity and rip us off.

Yep agree! We are doing just that… avoiding those businesses that refuse cash…
On the way back towards
Melbourne from Warnambool… we stopped at a red rooster I think it was… but a sign at their front desk was… they are going cashless from a certain date.
For real?
I love it when I shop… at chemist warehouse for instance… buy what I need, scripts, magnesium stuff etc and they present the card machine and I present a $50 note over the top of it….
And they take it… I jokingly say… I freshly printed it out this morning!
Re: fb market place…. Everyone wants cash on pick up … no pay id… because too many scammers.

Stupid our local ANZ is closing next month… it’s in a busy ever expanding area and their excuse was… everyone is using digital … I corrected the officer and said…no. Everyone is forced to go digital!

My hubby says, going cashless and totally digital… what on earth could possibly go wrong hey?!
Scammers are having a field day.

After our trip in September (because I’ve used the credit card to pay and get free travel insurance (not really free… I had to fill in forms to disclose our ailments and then paid $150 each (total $300) to activate travel insurance cover.

So after all that, I’m shifting banks.

What really triggered me was a letter from the bank saying they are removing the bank overdraft facility (ours was $1000)…..
it’s always been a safety net at lean times… now it’s going.
Well there will be no reason for us to stay with them and being a loyal customer since I was 18 means SFA.
