‘Sovereign risk’: Japan slams Australia’s cancelled projects by Labor
Nationals MP Keith Pitt slams the Labor government for cancelling projects it already approved with Japan noting there is “sovereign risk” to investing in Australia.
“Others benefit off the back of Australia’s resources,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“In Victoria it is cancelling gas … they are going backwards.
“We have seen royalty increases in Queensland that are now the highest taxes in the world on the coal sector.
“As an outcome? Well, we are seeing less investment and we are seeing countries like Japan … publicly saying there is now sovereign risk in Australia because the Albanese government cancels things it already approved.”

Ooops. How long did he attack the Libs for rightfully cancelling the nuclear submarine deal with France.

Exactly.
I honestly see the American Sub arrangement folding from America's end, with the agreement giving the USA over one hundred 'get out of jail' free cards to break the deal - which they will.
Right from the start, Australia should have stuck with the German & Nihonese options and although they may not have been as 'awesome' straight up like the French and USA - they would have been far less costly and just meant that Australia would have had to contribute more from its own end in building the Submarines, rather than just let the French and Yanks do it all for way more money. Lazy Australia!
You watch America take what money it has already and run. Leaving Australia's submarine dream high and dry.

I don't think the US will renege on the submarine deal. They need us strategically as much as we need them to save us from China. Lord knows what that idiot Biden could do at any given time but I doubt it.
It would break the AUKUS alliance and that would not be a good thing for the US. It looks like Japan is being brought into AUKUS as well. Maybe then it will be called JAUKUS?

Jaukus. Good one.
It depends on 'time'. If things heat up internationally in regards to the very predictable WW3 scenario - then USA will just pull the rug and keep them for themselves. They cost the USA about $4billion each. But the massive extra costs for Australia are 'adapting' them to Australia's needs and capabilities, along with training to run them.

But the USA is bankrupt:

BRICS: US Economist Anticipates Bankruptcy & Market Crash

As the BRICS bloc seeks to lessen international reliance on the greenback, one US economy has anticipated bankruptcy for the United States along with an overarching market crash. Indeed, Robert Kiyosaki took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the rather concerning prognosis.
Kiyosaki is well known as the author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad book series. The American businessman recently shared his perspective on the United States’ worrying direction. Specifically, he noted the increasing US debt as the reasoning behind what could be a horrendous crash for the country’s economy.
Now, one prominent American voice has shared his rather harrowing expectations for the economy. Indeed, as the BRICS bloc has driven global economic diversification, one US economist has predicted bankruptcy and an overarching market crash. Ultimately, he forecasted a massive collapse for the US dollar.
Robert Kiyosaki took to X to predict that “everything bubble, stocks, bonds, and real estate is set to crash.” Additionally, he observed the fragility of the debt crisis in the United States.
Indeed, he noted that “US debt [is] increasing by $1 trillion every 90 days.”

And the left will do everything they can to make the US fall into bankruptcy including voting for Biden and more open borders. Just because they are deranged about Trump.

And the ALP think it wise to follow all things American economically. Madness.
I predict that the USA will fall into economic doldrums which will leave China and Russia suddenly without any America to fight against.
Thus, they will turn on each other because of National 'ego' and that ever-lasting curse of thinking there can be only 'one dominant' power.
Of course, as China hammers a spent Russia. Russia will call for aid from America. But America will refuse because of its situation.
This is where North Korea will stuff things up for China. It will attack USA directly and force America into the War and thus China will then have two major fronts to fight against, let alone against India (already in conflict with Pakistan/Bangladesh as Chinese allies). China will also have to deal with the South-East Asian nations like Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia - all of whom will push northwards against China. China will lose the likes of Tibet and its southern lands, but it will eventually claim Siberia as the Yellow Man reclaims his passage to the north from Russia (USSR).
While Europe is dealing with Islam of the Middle-East and Australia dealing with Indonesia as the surrounding nations and Philippines attack its 'Moslem' existence.
WW3 is going to be pretty full on.
