Asbestos Julie - New Appointment

Post by MazdaBT50 » Sat Apr 06, 2024 10:52 am

After scurrying away from Federal Politics because She would lose a lot of Superannuation benefits, Asbestos Julie has landed a new job! After nearly sending us broke as Foreign Minister with the ever present cheque book ready for a million here and a million there, the UN have decided she is the one to sort out Mynanmarr

"United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Julie Bishop of Australia as his Special Envoy on Myanmar. Ms. Bishop succeeds Noeleen Heyzer of Singapore to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for her dedicated service.

Ms. Bishop brings extensive political, legal, management and senior leadership experience to the role. She has held several high-level positions in the Australian Government, serving as Minister for Foreign Affairs (2013-2018), Cabinet Minister for Education, Science and Training, Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women’s Issues and Minister for Ageing. She was a member of the Australian Parliament (1998-2019), following a 20-year legal career.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bishop has strengthened engagement with regional partners and led international negotiation efforts, including the first ever United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea conciliation.

Ms. Bishop is currently the Chancellor of the Australian National University. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide, Australia.”

Fair suck of the Sav UN, was Jules really the best pick of people to deal with such a volatile country? The UN has rapidly descended into a group of people reading from autocues and basically doing nothing except making sure their accomodation and travel vouchers are in for payment. How much is Jules going to cost Australia in this “prestigious” role?

The same Julie who rorted free expensive Helicopter trips.
She's obviously been sent in as a 'passive' - don't rock the boat 'submissive' by Australia.

Yep - she spent $5,000 on a helicopter ride when a $100 taxi fare
would have got her there in a similar time.

When you're a star they let you do it -
you can do anything.

Ohhh my mistake!!!
It was 'Bronwyn Bishop'! the massive hairbun that rorted the Helicopter rides.
Dang!
Julie Bishop - well, that's a different story. Still bad, but a different story.

Casanova Bowen, Marles and Albo should take note. Bowen even went so far as to say that his exorbitant traveling costs were in the best interest of the taxpayer.

Marle's office spent $3.6 million on private flights just between April 2022 to August 2023.

Was thinking of Bronny and her $5k helicopter ride initially but I can't say I ever cared much for Julie Bishop.

You guys threw me off Lol.

I dunno VIC.

If not Julie 'useless' Bishop out there 'partying' on the international circuit because she went no-where fast here domestically.
Who indeed would fill the role? Maybe we should have sent them dyke Penny Wong and state it had nothing what-so-ever to do with her racial appearance. :P ...or getting her out of the country.
