Probably right in that. Fringe benefits for Politicians and their Police.
They're partying like Media celebrities.
When you're a star you can do anything -
the cops let you do it.

What drugs were involved. Weed? So what?
I'm sure he's not the only one in parliament who has had a massage either.
I don't believe either of them, him or Higgins, which is why I don't follow it.
I feel much the same way.
Trying to avoid such attention grabbing crap yet it’s in our faces constantly… just when I think it’s finally quietened down… off it goes again… nit picking details, making a mountain out of a molehill… and don’t the lawyer$ love that!

It's a lawyers picnic - last I heard this one part has been going on for 23 days in court.
I would guess $millions are involved.
Also the drug used was cocaine - hard drugs - powders.

At my last job you couldn't even have a light beer at the pub at lunchtime -
they had a zero alcohol policy and anyone could be tested at any time
with instant dismissal as the most likely outcome.
At our parliament in Canberra you can be as pissed as a parrot and still make
a speech in the Senate or house of Reps.
They all get on the piss at lunchtime in the cafeteria.
Look at Barnaby - drunk out of his mind lying in the gutter
and he was acting PM at one time.
The parliament is full of drunken bums no better than Monk.

I would say that it's more of a Lawyer's Picnic and Media need for smut sensationalism.
All over two people who 'both' did the wrong in my opinion at least considering the way it has turned out. Sad to know what happened, but Brittany isn't all that 'innocent' either. Two wrongs not making a right - and that's why its continued on as something that can be exploited.

I could not believe Barnaby laying in the gutter like that!
I was horrified!
Heard recently that a rule will come into place that politicians that don’t behave etc will be dealt with or dismissed … about time hey?
In past I recall how our PM Hawke would make lewd sexual comments at women walking past or grab their butts.
Of course he gets away with it, to now… since this alleged rape trial between them 2 mentioned above.
An example is being made of this.
And neither are innocent. Both had plenty drinks that night.

Hawke was a shocker and, even so, I didn't mind him too much. I guess at least he was honest about being a shocking drunk and womaniser. I wasn't so much into politics back then and didn't take much notice.
My dad was at a conference with Hawke once and he was horrified lol.

If you thought Rudd was bad at that Airline Steward who served him the wrong meal.
Hawke was far more brutal in that, besides being ex-Unionism, he really treated women and others with drunken brutal bullying if he didn't get what he wanted. Many people have lost their jobs because of Hawkes 'Golden Ale' era.
