Awesome 3D Cakes

Post by Black Orchid » Fri Mar 29, 2024 2:51 pm

They're not all cakes though. The paper stairs at 0:52 and the hand one at 1:13 make you think twice lol.

The teapot at 7:15 is awesome.

Amazing disguises for cakes!
The sushi one… I could learn to disguise cake in that :giggle

I used to make creative cakes when the kids were younger.
When son was 9 and Simpson fan, I made a Bart Simpson head as cake! I will have to look for it to post… back in the good old film days.
May take me 2 years to find
Since it took me 1 year to find my passports just yesterday!
I had 4 years left in them so was holding back from replacing/renewing until I really had to.

Now I feel like going to bake a cake. It’s Good Friday.
Happy Easter!

I made a very creative 3D cake when my oldest turned 1.

I made a cake and cut it into the shape of an armchair. I covered it in fondant and made a ruffle around the bottom and then I painted it (in food colouring) in a chintz pattern. Then, out of the fondant, I made Pooh bear and sat him in the chair with a fondant molded (and painted) jar of honey that he dipped his hand into and had honey dribbling down his chin. I still cannot believe I did that!

After that I bought some Women's Weekly children's birthday cake books and made easy swiimming pools with jelly and little dolls sitting in lolly rings etc lol.

I too have pctures somewhere that may take me 2 years to find.

I love the aroma of cakes baking in the oven. :)

Very creative. Imagine eating something (of a cake) that doesn't look like food at all. Let alone eating cake that doesn't look like cake.
I would hate to be a stoner trying some of these out.

Sounds rather like you're describing something by Heston Blumenthal......
