1 vote per legitimate member should be all we require. I wasn't allowed to vote in the first 2 elections when I first arrived here because some dimwit (guess who) claimed I was a sock.

IMO if you use a proxy you are trying to hide something unless, of course, it's a well known member like SN who may have to use one for work purposes.

Generally speaking though if you join up here using a proxy, make no meaningful posts and then dive in at election time to vote ... you're a sock and should not be counted.

I understand. But at a guess - maybe you were 'outvoted' on your 'fair play' because the majority are those (trolls) who don't agree with fair play and just didn't want 'you' being right, knowing they were wrong?

Hello I have arrived (intact too!)

Welcome Sophia! That's a nice way to put it. Thanks. It has almost returned to its (extreme) Troll Free period, just a few incoming socks to deal with now. In time it will return back to its true ways when Black Orchid and those EL's before it had it running well, before the Troll period undermined it and slowed it to a snail's pace with only their activity. You could say the Baddies had come to town. Now I've driven them outta town I guess.
Anyway, what's important is that you have a Forum that is Troll Free, has Members who are not all Ozpolians, but from other Forums and Members who are interesting like Supernova and Nom De-Plume (Sappho) to name two durable people.
So feel 'free' !

[edit] you are allowed to hang shit on other members too Sophia (I'm not that harsh) - be it for fun or I understand that Members have their 'moments' with each other. I'm only hard on the traditional well-known 'extreme' Trolls who just can't help themselves in knowing when enough is enough and their level is beyond the bounds of a Forum in trying to harm other's outside of Cyberspace. Well you know what I mean. I myself have thick skin and BigP has already slung a bit my way.
