Re: Printers
Just bought one. Thanks Super!
Have had disappointments with several bubblejets.
First printer i bought, a dot matrix printer the size of a bathtub only printed in one direction
The Apple Imagewriter was a great dot matric printer, fast, bidirectional printer and packed a lot of text into the page.
I bought a laser printer, a big Apple laser, can’t remember the name. Two drawers, one with 200 pages(?) and one with 500. 600dpi printing. Then I added a smaller laser printer—a new product I introduced after paying all the debts my ex business partner had left required a LOT of printing each week. I had one computer printing to the big laser and set up an ad hoc separate network between the other computer and the other printer. Appletalk networking.
No major dramas with any of these.
Then bringing in bubblejets—problems aplenty.

Re: Printers
When I need to print something I go to Officeworks and use their public printing system.
All I need is my USB stick and within 2 minutes I have the printouts I need.
It costs about $1 per page for just a few pages.

Re: Printers
Officeworks is over 110Km away.
For printing text they are OK.
Would not use them for any fine/fancy printing tho.
I Adelaide I my sister told me of this place in McLaren Vale. Would do very high resolution scans and printing, we had some scanning incl one photo with some damage: he scanned it at hires, then did some image editing to remove the signs of damage and printed out hires photos that look like a million dollars.

Re: Printers
I will print out info on the trees and where they go in the orchard, etc. Prints will be carefully filed so the info is at my fingertips.
