The Mature Abbott,,or is it Manure Rabbit?

Post by Viking King. » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:19 pm

At his speech on Tuesday to congratulate the new Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Mr Abbott said, "This will be a more mature gov't and we will give credit where it is due"
The went into the sore looser mode, lets just see how much he brings up the past and bullshits as the libs have always done.

WHAT A WANKER.

Didn't look like Tony wanted the poisoned chalice of leadership of a minority government. He'll be happy to sit back and snipe from the opposition benches for a year or so, and then romp it in at the next, early, election...

... unless Julia can prove herself a worthier Prime Minister than she so far appears to be.

Good luck with that.

Will admit he put up a fair fight "BUT" there were a number of things that just didn't flow with fairness for Australia in general, (1) he doesn't see the need to keep up with the rest of the world when it comes to technology of the 21st century, Australia is at least 10 yrs behind 3rd world countries when it comes to internet alone.
(2) he doesn't see the need for computers in schools, struthe, it is the 21st century, the age of computer wiz kids, there ain't much we can get our hands on that isn't computer related.
(3) Picking dollar figures out of the air saying he will do this and that, and all without calculating any of it.
(4) Continues to bring up issues of the past when he is meant to be working on the issues for a better future.
Hewson said publically, "They are a bunch of idiots who have lost the plot"
Frazer said "To hell with them, I guiting the party, I want nothing to do with it"
Surely that says something, had he not spoken like Old Joe from Queensland with "Ummm, ahhhh, wellll, don't you worry bout that" he might have got in.

Bollocks. Australian It is strong and our home grown expertise is well respected internationally. 10 yrs behind the third world is rubbish. The internet is not as cheap to access as in Europe or US that is all.
(2) he doesn't see the need for computers in schools, struthe, it is the 21st century, the age of computer wiz kids, there ain't much we can get our hands on that isn't computer related.
I am sure that is taken out of context. Being an IT person i think you also need the basics in maths ... the 3 R's as well as an understanding of cumpoters. hell they are so cheap now every parent should buy one for their kid. School should teach people how to learn technology because once you have the basics you have to teach yourself to stay up to speed. That is what the wiz kids do. They did not get taught it, they went out and learned by investigation and experimentation with technology. When they get it... they appear smart. Well smarter than the average person who does not get it.
(3) Picking dollar figures out of the air saying he will do this and that, and all without calculating any of it.
Hard to calculate it if you are not a wiz with a spreadsheet,
(4) Continues to bring up issues of the past when he is meant to be working on the issues for a better future.
The past sets the starting point for the plan for the future. It is good to remind voters of what a terrible job they have done. Having no crediable vision for the future that differentiates your party from the encombent is the issue.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

Internet and associated uses are only high in Aust because Telstra don't care about average Mr and Mrs Joe, as for my personal bill in this area with Telstra I was paying in excess of $300 each month, it would also cost me $299.00 each time I moved house, I cut them off and went satellite with an all Australian setup, now paying $69.00 per month for broadband and land line use, cost me nothing to have it connected, but because the land line is still owned by telstra and I live a few mins out of town I am unable to get caller ID, not available in this area,In some suburbs around the country telstra seem to have the monopoly and won't allow other providers set up in certain areas, they charge high fees because they always have and always will..
So far as this gov't, do you really suggest we all stay with the libs/coalition and let them pay themselves 10% each payrise and ignore the working Australian who actually pay their wages.
