Ok FINALLY!! Let’s start here!!

Satellite data show global temperatures high in the atmosphere are up (slightly) again, continuing their long-term upward trend of about 0.14C/decade.

I tried attaching the graph from the 2nd link but as I’m on my iPhone - it didn’t work. It would be helpful if we could refer to visual attachments in this topic.

Note : 1st link is a dead link for some reason.


Moving forward....the data starts from the year 1979 so all we can really conclude is this :

From 1979 to 2023 (44 years)there has been an increase in global temperature.

Bobby - you can’t argue with that. What you CAN (and no doubt will) argue is that the data is very limited. 44 years is not enough to construct much of a conclusion.

Note : I’m ready to be convinced either way. Let me explain what I mean by that. At home our arguments are increasingly over topics like the environment, politics, evolution, God and of course dinosaurs.

Re environment: My husband is a firm believer in climate change. I’m a sceptic but kinda leaning towards believing in climate change. So if we had a continuum that looked something like this

1= firm believer
10 = firm denier
