Printers
Our old printer shit itself. So...off I went to Office Works to get another.
High in priority was not to have to buy replacements cartridges (refills or new) just about all the fuqqing time.
So, bloke flogs me a Canon Pixma G3620. $430.00. Says it works with ink wells and not cartridges and that the wells last a very long time before you need to refill them...at pretty low cost. That'll do us, I says.
Home I get, debox the thing, set it up, bung in the inks and printing heads...and away we go.
All great....except the bloody thing prints at the speed of a thousand rampaging fuqqing turtles!

A thousand rampaging fuqqing turtles move at quite a speed, don't you know... looks like you are on a winner!

Aussiem
i have been burnt.
Spend more money for a HP or a brand that has a good rep.
I am done with Brother and Epson and the cheaper brands.
Watch out for the trap on Ink.... if it doesn't have a big repository for ink... move on.

Re: Printers
We’ve got a printer issue here at home.
Could someone NAME a decent brand please?
By decent I don’t mean something which costs $59 to buy upfront and $159 to replace the ink.

I’m looking here atm. Interesting list of options.
Maybe this one?

The brand is reliable but that’s about it. The ridiculous cost of consumables will still undoubtedly apply.

Re: Printers
Spend the money and buy one which does not use ink cartridges. That thing I bought uses ink wells and will print reams before I need to refill. The only down side is that it is not rapid, but perfectly adequate for home use.lisa jones wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 5:11 pmhttps://www.myshopping.com.au/PT--1_Pri ... e=&Sort=PS
