Missile strike? Not likely.

Seems the airbase was not hit by misslles—base is beyond the range of missiles Ukraine is known to have and the pattern of craters does not support the missile hypothesis either.

This guy reckons Ukrainian partisans in Crimea provided guidance and intelligence to Ukrainian special forces who entered the airbase likely dressed in the uniforms of russian maintenance workers.
