Yes Helian, Henry Charles Bukowski always took it standing, even when he was drunk he wrote standing.

He did not believe in fairy tails or PC slogans.

But then neither did Hemmingway.

They always knew the bell tolls for you and no your PC conception of yourself.

Frogen only came here to mooch off our socialised health system.

The US health system is just too "FREEEEEE" for his liking :D

Anybody can be anything, you just have to work for it. (except queen/king - you have to be born to it. Or president of US - if you're not born in the US, forget it.)

Pity that, Arnie would whip Obama's arse, even carrying that foreign policy genius, Palin.

Boxy declares himself a person capable of discerning foreign policy merit, despite the record of his posts in the last five years.

Optimism is eternal, and it would seem internal.

Oh, I'm no foreign policy genius (like you)... and what's worse, I don't even look good enough in 1000$ dresses to be the VP :D

Hello JW. :P Personally, I see Boxy in a leopardskin print (including pillbox hat ;) )

Am I correct in assuming that although constitutionally anyone born in the USA could be president, in fact, you'd need a hell of a lot of money behind you?

All the Senators and Congressmen appear very well-heeled.

You need a lot of money donated to your campaign but not your own money.

Obama, Clinton were born in relative poverty to single mothers. LBJ grew up in extreme poverty, as did Lincoln. There are others, Grant, ect. The same could be said for the Congress and Senate, there are many people in both Houses that came from very modest backgrounds.

A lot of money is required for campaigns but the US is the most meritorcatic political system in the democratic world, there are a larger percent of minorities and women in the US Congress than in any other Western democracy, and of course a black man is about to be President.

This could not happen in most of Western Europe (France has one of the most closed political castes in the world with miniscule minority representation) nor Australia.

The money will flow to you if you can inspire people or they think you will win.

Obama has proved that, he has raised more money than any candidate in US history.
