Proposed Rule regarding PMs
Proposed Rule regarding PMs
I am inviting discussion about this. I have an open mind but as there is no Rule here about PMs, no-one at the moment can be sanctioned if a PM is published here.
As a basic generalisation, my own view is that PMs should not be posted, but I can envisage circumstances where arguably, it would be okay.
So.....comments please.

Just copy it from your own MRB at Ozpolitic:
Do not post personal information about other members without their explicit permission.
This includes the contents of personal messages and emails, photos, names, IP addresses, phone numbers, locations etc.
This includes information that can be found online and instructions on how to find information about specific members.
Such behaviour is considered stalking.
It should also include NOT using Ozpolitic or Monk's forum as a loophole to do that.

That Rule is in my MRB at OzPol to comply with FD over-arching Rules.Bobby wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 1:04 pmJust copy it from your own MRB at Ozpolitic:

I do not prefer that Rule, myself, for here.

Non personal stuff in a PM should be able to be posted. Not personal stuff.

Agree it is a private personal message and should stay private.Bobby wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:06 pmAll stuff in a PM is personal -Jovial Monk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 2:01 pmNon personal stuff in a PM should be able to be posted. Not personal stuff.

Try and think before engaging mouth.
Not everything in PM is personal—forum details etc can be communicated via PM and are hardly personal.
PMs prior to the date of the rule must absolutely be protected.
