The Greens and do we need Them

Post by HIGHERBEAM » Mon Aug 02, 2010 4:39 am

In todays democracy we have a force made up of disenchanted socialists and chocolate starfish. Are they bringing anthing new to the political landscape or are they just trying to con the australian people.Peter Garret deserted them and aligned himself behind the labor party, no one knows why,MONEY is my guess. But he is classic example of why you dont put any radicals in power as he has passion fingers.Do we need another One Nation.I think the conservative side of politics and the labor side of politics need to assess where they are going and give the Australian people real choice not window dressing,Do we have a Ultra Nationalist party and a radical left wing party to balance politics again or do we blindly go on letting these one policy parahs take away the voting public because they have no one else to vote for. Both parties have their radicals, so why dont we support them for the time being to break away and form parties and beathe life in to politics. We may not believe in their message but it is about time we put new life in to politics.

Don't know if we need them 'coz I don't care.
I don't even bother to vote anymore.
Saw the veg nazi who asked me to shoot deer eating fruit trees on her vegan fundamentalist friend's block and then had a hissy fit 'coz I dismantled and reassembled my .303 on her kitchen floor and lent it up against her fridge running a Greens promo stall in Gin Gin this morning. She's got bad eyesight so never noticed me sneak on by.
Silly wench didn't even know I grew weed on her block for 2 years while working and living on the farm across the road.

Wonder what they'd think if they knew a former branch delegate to state council for 5 consecutive years had spent 4 months of this year living off wild animals and feral fruits. When I eventually turned up at the dole office they had me on the phone to all sorts desk pilots fobbing me off and passing me on. Eventually they had me speaking to some social worker in Vic who thought I was in WA's Gin Gin.
One asked "so how long is it since you've had money?"
I replied "don't know, its been months since I had money"
She asked "Well what did you live on?"
I answered "Wild animals."
She half scoffed
And I said "Yeh, and some of them are protected".

How's this?
About 6 months after I quit the Greens, the Hinkler-Burnett Green branch just disintegrated.

Now if I could be convinced to do the same thing Australia would be a lot better off

Hoppy, you strike me as the kindabloke who transcends this stuff, as you have other stuff over the years. Bugger the Greens. They will always be nothing more than a pain in the arse for the two majors. What have they got when Brown falls off his perch?

Hopefully that won't happen for a very long time, but he is getting tired. Christine Milne - maybe Lee Rhiannon would be OK (if she stays). They both come across as competent, capable and persistent.

I can relate to that.

Well the Greens will have control of the Senate after the election whether the majority want them to or not. A real shame as well. Just when this country was finally getting somewhere.
