If they are invading privacy on that scale then a stupid password won’t block the govt spies.

If the management here is worried about dastardly secrets being found out by the government snoops then better delete Sparta altogether.

People don't know just how little privacy they have.

And it's everyone, not just the workers

Every soul in Australia is exposed and there is nothing ( legal) that you can do about it.

40 years ago, I worked for a large electronics company.
One of the several projects we were king on was a recording system for every single telephone in the Australian police force.

Every single call made to or from any police station in Australia was being recorded 24/7.

Of course , this was secret, no one knew about it, except for a few high ranking public servants.

There were also several other of these units being made for "other" locations, just to record every conversation every day, you can guess where.

That was 40 plus years ago, and it's still secret.
And I find it hard to believe that there wouldn't be something similar on computers, mobile phones and even bank accounts.

The technology from 40 years ago could easily be adjusted to do nearly everything.
And with today's gear, it's a gimme.

Privacy does not exist in today's world.
The bull shite tax return system is only a game they play to pretend they don't know every single thing about you and everything you do.
Banks hand over everything to the grubberment for favors.
Why do you think the grubberment wants a cashless system?
Your phone's are your new "Australia card" with everything available to them.
They have access to everything on your phone, don't believe otherwise.
They can find out where you are, where you have been and who you have been with at any time of the day.

And it's not politicians, they are nothing more than figure heads.
It's the senior public servants.
The grubberment that cannot be changed
The men and women who hold absolute power.
They make Chinese leaders look like pussies.

Can we ever change this?
Probably not, they own too many people.

Privacy does not exist, it hasn't for many years.

If you are not doing anything bad there is nothing to worry about.

That's not the point -
people should be entitled to privacy.

It means that no one is entitled to privacy by law.
A court warrant is not needed to snoop into
everything you do.

Just what makes you think they worry about LEGAL?

They justify everything they do by saying it's for the people's own good.

The myth that " if you don't do anything wrong, you won't be bothered" is just tgat, a myth.
They will use whatever they want to, against anyone they want to and justify it with their own agenda.
If an innocent man needs to be blamed for a crime in order to protect one of the elite, do you honestly believe they will not use this mechanism?

In their eyes, the ends justifies the means.
There is a very accurate saying.
Power corrupts
Ultimate power corrupts ultimately.

The more power they have, the harder it is for them to refrain from using it.

Hi Valkie,
what surprises me is that the corrupt politicians have voted
for legislation that will uncover their own shady dealings - e.g.
all their bribe money in overseas bank accounts etc.

Not really, politicians aren't very smart.
But the senior public serve us who run the country teach them how to avoid being caught and invest so as to ensure their compliance with everything.
What better way to control them?

Everything, and I mean everything is monitored every day by the grubberment.
Computer analysis is ongoing 24/7 and is certian triggers are set off, the investigation gets real personal.

Their biggest worry is the messiah principle taking hold.
One man or one group can really mess up their control.
So the find ways to destroy it before it starts.
Pay them off is an easy one.
Or discredit them.
If worst comes to worst, ostracize them through slander or fabricated data.

They are getting smarter and smarter at getting what they want and controlling people.
The social media is another tool they are fond of using.

Trust no grubberment ever.
