Stoker Jim had his vote declined at the last election.
It is still something I regret as he was a contributing poster with another name who wanted his privacy.

Some well known members could have used a VPN - a kind of proxy for years -
that is different - they are well known -
but some sock puppet clown who uses one and posts once per month just to try and
trick their way to gaining an extra vote for you
at the next election is not fair on genuine contributing members.

I'm not happy with Red's new rule.

For starters it's too generous. Monk's forum doesn't allow people to join up and become members with a proxy IP. They may only post as visitors.

Red on the other hand is ALLOWING people with proxy IP's to become members at PA. This is wrong.

The rule should reflect the wonderful example set by Monk himself on his own forum.

Proxy IP is fine but you have NO chance of becoming a member in the first place. Onya Monk
