Re: NSW and Victoria big jump in cases
You're not wrong Bobby.
Hubby came home this afternoon without getting a Covid19 test. He couldn't get tested anywhere for Covid19. He called and also drove to a few places. They are closed because they've run out of testing kits apparently.
He then tried to buy a Covid19 testing kit. He gave up after the 3rd pharmacy. There's none left.
Other neighbours are reporting similar experiences.
It's going to be a very interesting Christmas and New Year.
I reckon we'll start seeing the numbers of Covid19 infected grow exponentially but because of the high double jabbed stats within the population...those infected by Delta or Omicron will have bugger all symptoms.
My GP and my Physiotherapist ( I saw both today ) are triple jabbed. Hubby is getting his 3rd jab in January.
There's already talk of a 4th jab.
At some stage someone will ask this question : How many more jabs?

Re: NSW and Victoria big jump in cases
Bobby I'm hearing you.
Hubby cancelled his work Christmas party.
Our older kids aren't going anywhere.
Fear immobilises people.
We're free but we're also afraid. So are we really free?
Anyway...I was chatting to our neighbours this afternoon whilst watering the gardens. Bottom line: Not 1 family in our neighbourhood is going somewhere for Christmas or New Year. Seems we're staying put.
Forget Happy Christmas. It's now all about having a Safe Christmas.

Re: NSW and Victoria big jump in cases
The exponential growth of the virus is an extraordinary thing to witness. Thousands upon thousands will be off sick... Some supermarkets may have to close temporarily due staff shortages... Sunday timetables on public transport may be introduced, again due to staff shortages...
As to healthcare, well, here's a story... the father of my granddaughter bestie, normally works as an anesthetist at a city hospital. Because of the pandemic, he's now working in ICU... completely untrained, because of the staff shortages. Where normally, he has no contact with the family of patients... he is now required to advise and console them and cop abuse from them. As a consequence, he is having a bit of a career crisis and wants out!
How many others are there, like him?
