Solid irons aka sad irons, “all day” irons with a little kerosene tank and kerosene burner, irons with gas burners, tiny irons you would swear are toys except they are solid iron and were used to iron lace. I have a solid iron with the sides and the point curved upwards for ironing around lace.

Now looking for a goffering iron.
