Compare ourselves to Sweden.

Post by Bobby » Mon Dec 13, 2021 7:38 am

The current population of Sweden is 10,189,927.
The number of Covid deaths is 15,158.

The current population of Australia is 25,925,643.
The number of Covid deaths is 2,104.

If we would have followed Sweden we would have had
25.9/10.2 * 15,158 = 38,489 deaths.

Therefore by following our policies we have saved:
38,489 - 2,104 = 36,385 people from dying.

Being misinformed and keeping to it despite all the information staring him in the face is being wrong.

NSW has recorded its largest daily number of COVID-19 cases in more than 10 weeks, with 804 new infections in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

This is an increase on the 536 reported yesterday and on the 179 cases reported just two weeks ago.

There was also one death.

It's the highest daily total recorded since October 2 when 814 cases were confirmed.

Sweden were going for herd immunity there was always going to be some short term pain for long term gain.
Those who make the vaccines say they will not give us herd immunity.

Give us the numbers on Sweden vs Victoria who have the world record for being locked down lets see how that compares.

I would say looking at this graph Sweden is doing OK right now would we still be locked down if we didn't get a vaccine?
