"These South Korean school children are put through their paces by retired marines during a stay at the Cheongryong Self-denial Training Camp on Daebu Island in Ansan, southwest of Seoul"
Now this is good.
With kids being relatively undisiplined compared to the past I think each child should do this sort of camp just to give them some real perspective on how hard life can be, how to build mental strength to deal with difficult times, learn the value of a team and just develop a little respect for authority.
We will never to this in the west because we are too soft on our children. A 100 or so years ago we treated them like shit, made them work in mines... they were to be seen not heard and today they have more rights than adults. This could be a new approach.
Cheers,
SN

It would never happen here. The left would demonise such a program as it would empower the individual which is against their ethos

The left are also complaining about lack of disipline in our children and our schools. If they don't get with the programme soon, the whole western world will go to shit.IQSRLOW wrote:It would never happen here. Even china are swinging right as hard as they can while pretenting to remain left. Displine and control is one of their cultural strengths. We can learn alot from them.
We need more Grasshoppers to teach our children. Each child should be able to lift a bowl of hot ash with their forearms before they are allowed to leave school.

Countries that live with the constant threat of an imminent invasion have to prepare their population for the worst. If getting their kids to role around in the mud for a while is the worst of it... well, lucky them.

The Chinese are teaching the soft white Western consumer a thing or two and self-denial as well.
