1. No you didn't. You told a certain poster what you'd do for her without referring to any forum rules or discussing this with Freediver.

2. You can't ask Bobby to ban someone AGAIN even though you happened to get away with it last time. A person gets banned if/when they break the rules. The EL is bound by these rules also. He himself is a servant and can't do whatever he wants or else he won't make it to the next election. That's already happened to a former EL. The reason? Ironically enough for doing what you did in 1.

So all the fuss made on Ozpolitic has been about this thread.

I've had to endure months of bullshit and name calling and

OK - I now remember what happened.

Cods was in hospital and Red was trying to help her out.
I overlooked that Red was using her password due to the unforeseen bad situation.
I later changed Cods password to a very simple one to help her get into her account.

Cods later PMed me at Ozpolitic saying

I just checked and Cods had not changed her password to something more complicated as I had asked her to do.
I have now changed it to a difficult password and let her know via PM at Ozpolitic.

Because of the security situation and the fact that I wasn't sure
if Cods had made a more secure password I moved this thread to Archives.
I didn't want people trying to guess it.
I have now moved it back here and the password is difficult.

All this fuss over nothing and my name turned into mud when I was trying to help Cods.
I am sure that Redneck was doing the same.

You can't create exemptions to forum rules.

You can't overlook stuff like this Bobby. It's not subject to overlooking. It's subject to ensuring it doesn't happen in the first place.

It happened because Cods gave her password to Red as she couldn't log in.
It was soon changed by me to a simple password so that Cods could get into her account by herself.
It is now a difficult password.
If Cods wasn't in hospital I wouldn't have accepted it but as she
was under stress I overlooked it applying moderator discretion owing to a terrible circumstance.

How would it have looked if I banned Cods while she was in hospital getting help from Red?
