Bats

Post by sprintcyclist » Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:34 pm

We went on a cave tour yesterday.
The guide was telling us about bats.

Apparently their 'echolocation' system is too high a frequency for us to hear BUT it is very loud.
It can be up to 140 dB he said !!!!!!!

Imagine the noise in a cave with a few bats giving 100dB of noise, the echoing around the cave chambers.
Would it kill you?

There is all sorts of nasty diseases carried by bats and a bat cave is not a good place to be wandering around.
Histoplasmosis is caused by Histoplasma, a fungus that lives in the soil, particularly where there's a large amount of bird or bat poop. The infection ranges from mild to life-threatening. It can be misdiagnosed because its symptoms are similar to those of other illnesses, like pneumonia caused by bacteria.
I used to do a lot of spelunking as a kid and into my adulthood.
Avoided bat cave like the plague.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream
