A "vaccine passport" will be trialled next month in regional NSW after the state recorded 1,035 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths.
Key points:
The 'vaccine passport' trial will take place in a small group of venues
A film crew member that sparked the lockdown of Byron and Tweed has been charged
A woman in her 50s was diagnosed with COVID-19 the day after she died
NSW Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the trial would run for two weeks from October 6 and would allow people to show their vaccination status on the Service NSW app — the same app people use to check into venues.

Covid-19 and :
Earthquake in Melbourne today.
We're doomed - it's the End Times -
plague, pestilence, earthquakes -
what more proof do we need?
Jesus is already back.
You're all sinners.
Repent for the end is nigh.

Ill believe that when Afghanistan disappears from the face of the earth.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

October 11 is firming as the date people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in NSW will come out of lockdown, although Premier Gladys Berejiklian says she is reluctant to use the phrase "freedom day".
Key points:
Almost 85 per cent of adults in NSW have received a first vaccine
There is concern about an increase in cases in the Illawarra with 103 new infections
The Premier says she wants Sydney Airport to become the "gateway to the nation" once vaccination targets are met
NSW recorded 1,043 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.
Across NSW, 84.1 per cent of adults have now had a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 56.6 per cent have had both doses.
A third of 12-15 year olds in the state have received one dose.
Ms Berejiklian said communities in Western and south-western Sydney had done an "unbelievable job" in getting vaccinated.

Re: NSW cases out of control.
Usually more people have long term or permanent health disabilities after a serious illness than die of it.
For the 11 dead today there could be dozens others who have an impaired life from here onwards.
