2010 Election

Post by Sangster » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:57 pm

Hi Everyone,

I know that the Election hasn't been called yet but what do you all think about it. Will Julia win? Will Rudd be a good influence or not? What about Bob Hawke and Paul Keating who seem to come out of the closet when an Election is on.

Rudd will stand behind the party, and will hold his further ambitions for the future.

Aunty Julia will probably win the election. Abbott's fearmongering, which is his biggest drawcard, is undermined by the fact that the electorate still remembers Howard's use of exactly the same tactics before other elections. Children overboard, anyone?

Why then are Hawke and Keating arguing?

The only party dog whistling at the moment is Labor trying to introduce illegal immigrant policy on the run.

We can only hope that the electorate is not stupid enough to fall for changing the face of an incompetent party. They were dumb enough to vote for the failure that was Kevin07 (even by his own party's standards- that tell you something?) so the intelligence of at least 50% has to be called into question

They're trying to introduce workable measures that balance our practical border security issues with our need to also be humane, and our international obligations. There are no easy answers, unless you want to be a total jackass, and just say "turn the boats around".
