Yes - it keeps going up despite the vaxes.

As for the building site?
They were having morning tea in the tea rooms with no mask on
so they could drink and they were talking to each other
at close range.

Tea rooms have become the most dangerous places in Melbourne.
Have a cup of tea and kill people.

Normal reaction.
On my first jab of AZ I got a mild temp 12 hours later of 37.7 C.
I got a slightly sore arm for 3 days and a headache for one day.
That was fixed with a couple of panadols.

On my 2nd shot last Thursday I had no reactions at all.
All is well and I'm glad I'm doubled vaxed.

A Victorian man aged in his 20s has died with Covid-19 at home.

The man, from the local government area of Hume in Melbourne’s north, was one of two deaths announced by the health department on Tuesday morning.

The other was a woman in her 80s from Brimbank in Melbourne’s west.

The number of Victorian lives lost to Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic now stands at 826.

Deputy Prmeier James Merlino said it was “very, very sad”.

“We extend our sympathies to the families of both those Victorians,” he said.

Health department deputy secretary Kate Matson said the man died at home and authorities didn’t know he had coronavirus until a post-mortem was conducted.

“The death of the gentleman in his 20s is extraordinarily sad,” she said.

“Unfortunately, we are aware he died of Covid due to post-mortem analysis, he wasn’t a case we were aware of.

We've been in this 6th lockdown since August 5th 2021.
That is over 5 weeks and it was a lockdown for only 1 week.

Victoria has recorded 423 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and two deaths.

Of the new cases, contact tracers have linked 149 to known outbreaks.

There were 54,649 test results received on Tuesday, and 41,856 doses of vaccine were administered at state-run sites.

Premier Daniel Andrews will unveil a detailed roadmap out of lockdown on Sunday.

"There will be a map that talks about what we are going to do in the rest of September, what we're going to do in October and November," Mr Andrews said on Tuesday.

"It will be subject to all sorts of things including how many people are in hospital."

Melbourne has been under stage 4 lockdown restrictions since August 5, while most of regional Victoria has enjoyed relaxed restrictions since September 9.

Victoria has recorded 514 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, as regional communities in the state transition in and out of lockdown.

Contact tracers have linked just 148 of the new cases to known outbreaks.

There were 61,961 test results received on Tuesday, and 41,758 doses of vaccine were administered at state-run sites.

Around 68.3 per cent of Victorians have now had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with the state expected to reach its 70 per cent first-dose vaccination target for those aged 16 or older today or tomorrow.

In Melbourne, police have warned public transport into the city centre will be shut down for six hours on the weekend in a bid to thwart a planned anti-lockdown protest.

Police will stop all train, bus and tram services from reaching the CBD between 8:00am and 2:00pm Saturday.

Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said the extraordinary intervention was based on public advice about the risk of large numbers of people converging as the state's outbreak worsened and vaccination rates remained low.

Victoria has recorded 510 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and one death, as the state prepares for a slight easing of restrictions.
Key points:

Of the new cases, 386 are yet to be linked to known outbreaks
Fully vaccinated people in Melbourne and Ballarat will get slightly more freedoms when restrictions ease tomorrow
The ninth COVID-19 death of the current outbreak comes as hospitalisations rise

The death of a person with COVID-19 yesterday marks the ninth coronavirus fatality linked to the current outbreak.

Of the new infections, just 124 have been so far linked to known cases or outbreaks.

They were detected from 55,476 test results processed on Thursday.

It brings the number of active infections in the state to 4,697, with the vast majority of those acquired in the community rather than hotel quarantine.

The tally of 510 is just lower than 514 recorded on Thursday, the highest single-day increase of the outbreak so far.

The peak of the Delta outbreak is still expected to be some time away, with health officials anticipating hundreds more people will be hospitalised in coming weeks and months.

and one death

Victoria has recorded 535 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and one further death, as the state's contact tracing processes change to respond to a surge in infections.
Key points:

People in Melbourne and Ballarat now have slightly more social freedoms, while regional Victorian gyms and pools have reopened
Of the new infections, 473 are yet to be linked to known cases
Councils in hard-hit areas of Melbourne's north are calling for more vaccines to address an "urgent need"

It is the highest single-day tally since the outbreak began.

The Greater Shepparton woman in her 70s is the 10th person to die with COVID-19 in the current Delta wave.

Of the new infections, only 62 have been so far linked to known cases or outbreaks.

They were detected from 61,622 test results processed yesterday.

It comes as police stop all public transport in and out of the CBD to curb planned anti-lockdown protests.

There were 45,537 vaccines administered at state-run sites on Friday.

The state this week passed a target of having 70 per cent of people aged 16 and over with at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

There has been a slight easing of restrictions across the state as a result.
