What is wrong with our legal system

Post by Valkie » Sat Aug 28, 2021 8:31 am

A terrorist gets off on appeal.

Gaol him for 20 years and then send him to Afghanistan, we dont want it here.

Our courts are either corrupt or stupid to believe the lies these terrorists tell.
Appeal win for Curtis Cheng accused man
DERRICK KRUSCHE

A MAN jailed in connection to the IS-inspired shooting of NSW Police employee Curtis Cheng has had his conviction thrown out on appeal and will undergo a retrial.

Mustafa Dirani was jailed for a maximum 28 years in 2019 after being found guilty of conspiring with others to do acts in preparation, or planning, for a terrorist act following the 2015 killing.

Mr Cheng, 58, was fatally shot as he exited NSW Police‘s Parramatta headquarters after being selected at random by 15-year-old radicalised gunman Farhad Jabar, who was killed in a shootout.

The gun Jabar had used was earlier given to him by Raban Alou at Parramatta Mosque.

In sentencing Dirani, Justice Peter Johnson said the 28-yearold was Alou’s confidant.

The judge said Dirani was there to “provide support and backup if required and as a second pair of eyes in case there was any difficulty”. Justice Johnson also found Dirani had given religious and ideological support to Alou and another conspirator.

However, Dirani had claimed at trial he was only planning to have lunch with Alou on the day and he launched an appeal.

The NSW Court of Criminal Appeal was told on Friday that Dirani’s conviction had been quashed and that he would undergo a new trial.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream
