At what point will lockdowns end? At this rate, we will be long gone before Melbourne puts this disease behind them. How many lives are being ruined over these lockdowns? How many young people have lost their chance to go to university and pursue rewarding careers? How many private businesses have gone under because the government doesn't deem them to be essential? How many elderly are dying alone because their family is not allowed to visit them? This is obscene. Some fates are worse than death. Especially since vaccines are now available, the disease is not particularly dangerous to anyone that doesn't have other major health problems. Is the government waiting for a cure? It will never come because there is too much money to be made with ever changing vaccination strategies and too much power to be wielded by government who use the plandemic to foster government dependence.

Only 25% of people are fully vaccinated.
They won't stop the lockdowns until that reaches 70%.

What if that never happens? We've stalled at about 55% in America. There's no telling how many have natural immunity to supplement the vaccinated. With recovered people and vaccinated, we may actually be over 70%, but you'll never hear the media discuss it.

Victoria has recorded 24 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, 18 of whom were in quarantine while infectious.
Key points:

Victoria processed 39,832 test results yesterday, an increase on the previous day
The Victoria Police Association has taken a swipe at the Andrews government over playground closures
There is another round of support payments for live performers who have had events cancelled

Contact tracers have linked 20 of the cases to existing clusters in Melbourne's Delta outbreak. The number of unlinked and mystery infections in the outbreak is one of the main metrics behind the extension of the city's sixth lockdown.

Victoria processed 39,832 test results on Tuesday, the highest figure in four days after a flagging number of swabs.

Premier Daniel Andrews made a strong plea for increased testing on Tuesday, warning it was the only way out of Melbourne's current lockdown in the short-term.

There were 27,173 vaccine doses at state-run sites yesterday, bringing the total number of doses at state hubs to more than 2 million. A similar figure has been administered through the Commonwealth rollout.

As Melburnians reel from Monday’s announcement that Stage 4 COVID restrictions would include the shutdown of businesses and workplaces across the city, they were confronted with an even more distressing prospect.

The question was raised in people’s minds as Premier Daniel Andrews and Victorian chief health officer Brett Sutton addressed the measures involved in Stage 4 at a press conference on Monday afternoon.

On Sunday, it was announced that Melbourne would be subject to an 8pm-5am curfew for the next six weeks, and there would be restrictions on people’s movement beyond a 5km radius of their homes.


‘It’s hard to imagine what a stage five might look like.’

Asked about those lines at a press conference, Professor Sutton said: “We’re not thinking about a stage 5.”

“We’re thinking about a successful Stage 4. We know it can work,” he added.


Daniel Andrews was also questioned about the Stage 5 reference, but he declared that “there is no Stage 5.”

However, he went on to say that if Stage 4 didn’t suppress community transmission of the virus, the government would have to impose a set of rules “that will even further limit people’s movement.”

Victoria has recorded 55 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases, 25 of whom were quarantined during their infectious period.

Contact tracers have identified the source of infection for 49 of the cases.

Health authorities say testing and vaccination numbers are being verified and will be available shortly.

There are more than 530 exposure sites listed in Victoria, including dozens of supermarkets and other essential shops across Melbourne added last night.

I do not want to be alarmist, but I have just heard from two different sources,
food companies being briefed tonight the Victoria's lockdown will last to the New Year.
If that is a fact, our society as we know it,
famlies, children, small business won't survive without great pain.

Victoria has recorded 61 new cases of COVID-19, including a number of cases in Shepparton already announced yesterday.

The Health Department said an additional 16 cases were recorded on a rapid PCR testing platform and would be reported in tomorrow's numbers.

Of the new cases, 48 are linked to known outbreaks, and 22 were in isolation for their entire infectious period.

There were 45,670 test results received yesterday, and 29,539 doses of vaccine were administered at state-run sites.

The new cases come as the government considers a statewide lockdown in response to the outbreak in regional Victoria.

A government spokesperson yesterday said the situation in Melbourne and across regional Victoria was extremely concerning.

"Advice will be provided to government tomorrow morning and all options are on the table," the spokesperson said.

"In the interests of not contributing to any further spread of the virus, all community sporting leagues across regional Victoria are asked to immediately cancel their activities for this weekend."

Victoria's public health team has been asked to look at options for increasing COVID restrictions, senior government sources have told the ABC, amid concern over a drop in compliance and the discovery of 17 new cases in Shepparton.
