NSW recorded 199 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian revealed she wants to see
6 million jabs administered in NSW by the end of August.

About 3.9 million doses have been put in arms in the state so far.

Greater Sydney's lockdown is due to end on August 29, at this stage.

"Six million jabs is roughly half the population with at least one or two doses," she said.

"That gives us additional options as to what life looks like on 29 August."

See what is happening in the USA:

One of the largest US law firms will deactivate ID cards of non-vaccinated staff in September

From CNN's Katelyn Polantz

Neil Barr, the chairman of Davis Polk, one of the largest and most prestigious US law firms, sent a memo to staff Monday morning announcing that all the firm’s employees would need to be vaccinated to return to the office in September or no longer be allowed in the building.

According to the memo obtained by CNN, all employees must prove they are fully vaccinated by Sept. 13. If not, their ID card will be deactivated, and they will not be permitted to enter any of the firm's US offices. The memo adds that the law firm will make accommodations for medical reasons or religious beliefs.

Davis Polk employs approximately 1,000 lawyers around the world, with US offices in New York, California, and Washington, DC

Lawyers all over the world must be rubbing their hands together
due to the mountainous amount of litigation for loss of civil rights
which will occur...
Of course, none of those lawyers are in Australia, as we wont
object to any draconian rules...
Thats because as a nation we are spineless...

Justice costs too much in Australia.
Probably hardly any of the lockdown laws are valid but no one has $2 million
and 5 years of time to take it to the High Court.
The lower: Magistrates and Supreme courts - have all given the green light to those laws.

The most I have ever spent on lawyers is around $1,000 and that includes a divorce, buying a house and a will. I don't trust lawyers of any description, especially so-called "retired" ones. :f
