What's with the mixed team relay things? First the triathlon then the swimming? Weird. I can't recall them having this at other Olympic Games, can you?

It's a first. Poor Emma McKeon had only just swum the 50m final 6 minutes beforehand.

It was also a stupid decision to put Titmus and McKeon first and second in the 4x200 relay. We should have won that.

Australian sprint star Rohan Browning WINS his 100m heat in sensational style - and fans go wild over his mullet hairstyle

Vowing to go faster, Australian sprint star Rohan Browning is gunning for 'finals and beyond' after scorching to a spectacular victory in his opening-round heat of the men's 100m at the Tokyo Olympics.

Browning clocked a personal-best 10.01 seconds to move to second spot on the Australian all-time list.

The only Aussie to have clocked a faster legal time was Patrick Johnson, who ran 9.93 back in 2003.

I watched it last night too. Amazing heat. I rarely watch the Olympics period (except for the swimming) but I've ended up watching more this time than I ever have.

The disqualification in the sprints was unfair as they'd only given a warning to the previous mis-starter.

Aussies just got gold in the BMX.

Logan Martin has created Olympic history by becoming the first winner of the men’s BMX freestyle competition.

He did it in style, finishing it with his first run as his rivals couldn’t get close to him at a skate park which was both completely unfamiliar to him but totally recognisable at the same time.

Martin had actually built a replica of the Ariake Skate Park in his back yard to prepare for BMX freestyle’s debut at the Olympics, given he was unable to travel to Tokyo to practice there in the middle of the pandemic.

He splashed out $70,000 to build it after COVID forced the closure of the indoor BMX park at Coomera on the northern Gold Coast, leaving him with nowhere to train.

Here's his run. Ignore the Aussie commentator he's an idiot.
