First up, I'm not claiming that we are going to be 'taken over' by these super cultures. I can't see that happening at all in anyway that you would suggest. Our culture is too diluted due to multiculturalism. We are no longer white culture, but mongrel cultures with a bit of this and a bit of that with non white culture considered more important than white culture. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing if every nation was engaged in multicultural immigration, but they are not.

You mention China and Islam who happen to be monocultures. Monocultures as we know from our own past are more powerful morally than multicultures which tend to be ridden with ethical conflict as one culture tries to assert it's ethical imperitive over another or to sit along side the another. Think Shara Law as applied to marriage and divorce in the UK. Monocultures have many national goals which unify the nation and multicultures have very few. Monocultures are co-operative because they are driven by the same goals and multicultures and competitive using conflict to get the upper hand. Monocultures enforce their rules with many Machiavellian techniques and multicultures encourage individuality with concessions and moral relativity dictating concepts in justice and rights.

Bottom line, Monocultures, although less desirable from my perspective are stronger than Multicultures which concede too much too often. The only time a Multiculture will actually work and work well, is when all nations are seeking that goal, which they do not. It's a white persons ideology.

Monocultures, irrespective of their peoples poverty are dominantly wealthy or have strong ties to a wealthy monoculture. Think of the many African allies of China. Multicultures, irrespective of the wealth held by the few of their peoples are debt ridden and therefore poor.

Want more? White culture is fast moving towards a minority within their traditional lands as other cultures with high breeding rates supersede them. In the EU and UK it is the Muslim culture. In the US it is the Hispanic culture. In Canada and Australia, no culture is yet to show such a tendency as shown in the EU, UK and the US. The same in happening in Israel with the ultra, ultra conservative jews out breeding the moderate jew, gaining a foothold in the govt there.

But wait there's more.... Monk, you make reference to China and Islam not perusing territory, but you are wrong. It is gained not through war, but commerce. Monocultures buy the land they want.

While monocultures may well have been stronger in certain ways (mainly at oppression and forcing conformity), those "strengths" have actually tended to weaken them in the modern world, where individualism and personal enterprise has seen a huge acceleration of creativity, pushing free enterprise productivity to it's limits, while dictatorships, by and large, stagnated. It's not coincidence that China has boomed with the added freedoms allowed in the past decade or so.

Interesting. I recently just started watching TV here (after almost 5 years of being here) and am amazed at the number of TV commericals for prescription drugs.
