We have good steak in Melbourne too.
Unfortunately the best cuts of all are sold privately to the top restaurants.

At the https://meatemporium.com.au/ you put on a jacket, pick a big lump of meat and the butchers trim it to your licking.
I went to a clients BBQ a few months ago, he had $250/kg wagyu, as much as you could stuff into your face. It's nice, but it also is just too rich, like eating butter. I have teeth, I can chew steak. I prefer good grass fed steak.Bobby wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:30 pmGordon wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:22 pmBut don't you have any wholesalers open to the public?Bobby wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:17 pmGordon wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:11 pmNext time you're in Sydney, Bobby.

280 gram steak - yes - that's a nice size.
It was perfect. I don't eat like this all the time, but it's my comfort food when I travel alone for work and get a per diem for meals. I wish I knew how to attach a photo from my phone.
