Beef up to $70 per kilo

Countries we export to can pay a lot less for our own beef/lamb than we do and that's what gets me. We'd rather kill it and bury it than sell it cheaply in our own market. Much like the Japanese end users pay a third of what we pay for our own gas.

I think we get very high prices for our beef that is exported?

I miss my brother in law. He traded cattle for a living and always had the hookups for good steaks. Nice guy as well.

In Texas they have 1 pound steaks.

In every steakhouse in Texas. You can get a really good 1 pound steak just about anywhere for $25-30 with all the fixins'.(even Outback Steakhouse) If money is no object, you can go to Texas De Brazil. $75-85/person will get you valet parking, salad and baked potato bar, all you can eat steak, lamb, chicken, and pork cooked to perfection and a couple of drinks. All you have to do is get the attention of the gouchos walking by with skewers of sizzling meat to load your plate. I haven't been in about 3 years, so there may be some inflation.

I like the expensive cuts, but even the cheaper cuts like the rump when bought from a good wholesaler rather than a supermarket is really good.
