Melbourne is being talked about in America. They make it sound like you are all prisoners of the state. I hope it's exagerated.
We are mostly all under house arrest in Melbourne.

Dan has spoken.
He says the lockdown is over at midnight but it's still on:

no visitors to homes for 2 more weeks -
masks still to be worn inside and outside.

what about pubs and clubs? - will they open?
restaurants?
food courts

he talks too much shit.

We are still in our 5th lockdown - just rules eased
but I still can't visit my friends.
Within one month we'll be on our 6th lockdown - it will go on forever
as the vaccines will no longer be effective one year from now.
Reichsmarschall Dan Andrews is still in power.

Melbourne COVID-19 outbreak grows as Victoria records six new local cases

updated Thu 27 May 2021 at 10:28am

Victoria has recorded another six local COVID-19 cases, bringing the cluster in Melbourne's north to 15.
Key points:

All of the new cases are close contacts of cases already identified in the City of Whittlesea cluster
Acting Premier James Merlino said he couldn't rule out more restrictions in response to the outbreak
Contact tracers have identified 301 primary close contacts, 80 of whom had so far returned negative results

The Department of Health had reported 10 new local cases on Tuesday, and Acting Premier James Merlino revealed another case had been identified on Wednesday morning.

Mr Merlino said all of the new cases were close contacts of the cases that have already been identified as part of the City of Whittlesea cluster.

"It's good that everyone is linked at this stage, but we are concerned about the number and also about the kind of exposure sites and the next 24 hours are going to be critical," he said.

Mr Merlino said he could not rule out further restrictions in response to the outbreak.

"I want to be upfront with everyone this morning, I cannot rule out taking some further action but we'll update people as soon as we know."

All Merlino needs now is a huge supply of barbed wire for his "ring of steel"..
Maybe a few guard towers with snipers here and there... :rofl

A number of schools have closed as a precaution after competing in an Australian Rules football competition
The mystery cases were found the day after Victoria's first zero-case day in more than three weeks

The source of infection for three of the cases, including the school teacher from Melbourne's west reported yesterday, is still under investigation.

The other three are linked to known cases and were isolating during their infectious period.

The new cases were detected from 27,279 test results processed on Wednesday.

The first mystery infection was reported just hours after the state confirmed a zero-case day on Tuesday, its first in almost a month.

The teacher, a woman in her 20s, lives in the Hobsons Bay local government area and works at the Al-Taqwa College in Truganina.
