Apparently the State of Origin III will be placed at CBus stadium Robina tomorrow
nite...
Then other matches will be played at CBus stadium over the next few days...
Not sure just when the Sydney teams will be spending their 14 days in quarantine before the matches as Fridays games are only 3 days away...
I suppose all the Sydney players, wives, girlfriends and kids will enjoy the trip down
from the Sunshine Coast....
Meanwhile camera crews have been sighted in the main street of Coolangatta.
I envisage the Qld border will be closed soon...
Probably after Origin III
Cant have any interruptions to the football now can we....
Meanwhile people in Fairfield have to test every 3 days and the rest of the
lockdowned area have to test every 7 days...(essential workers, that is)
I wonder if Gladys introduces a Melbourne style curfew soon...
Meanwhile, Sydney footballers and their wives/girlfriends will be sunning themselves
by a pool somewhere, sipping on martinis and browsing the lunch menu...
The word hypocrisy comes to mind...
BUT then again when Palaszczuk is involved....thats par for the course.... :o

Its coming...the rest of the world versus islam....or is it here already...

I don't know all the restrictions....but I do know that Roosters, Penrith, Newcastle and Manly will be up here at Twin Waters Novotel. Each Team is allowed to have 41 people PLUS 'direct family members.'

This better not stuff up!

Apparently family are being isolated seperately to the players. It's only once they've cleared that hurdle that they are allowed to get together.

My problem however is that whilst players are contractually obligated to follow the NRL's rules, family members are not. What is to stop a family member (a wife for example) from leaving the bubble to have her hair done or botox injected, and then going back to their husbands at the end of the day within the bubble?

Makes no sense. Why have 'family' if they are isolated from the NRL player?

that is only temporary. They have to isolate separately for 14 days and return 5 negative covid tests during that time before they can join their husbands. It looks like the NRL is thinking the situation in Sydney might continue long term.

When does the 14 day quarantine period commence for the players...

That is not yet made crystal clear. It can only credibly happen if they close off the Comp for 14 days.

They have left Sydney...a hotspot..if it was you or me...
...we'd be straight into quarantine

No idea. I would guess that it would start when they get here, according to QLD's current border restrictions ... but given that in the past the rules haven't applied to the NRL players, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they don't have to isolate

That is what is so unclear...maybe they are straight into lockdown. I don't know and it has not been clarified by Govt.
