I was in Coles yesterday and didn't even see a sign in station. Same with Aldi and Chemist Warehouse. I also went to the newsagent and a couple of small shops. Nothing.

I refuse to get an App. I got one to go to the gym months ago and it kept texting me all day and night with "Hello friend." I got sick of it after a few days and deleted it. You don't need an app and I refuse to download another one. I'll sign in with pen and paper if need be.

Re: Clusterfuck
I wont be putting an app on my phone.
I dont know if I could tolerate signing in with pen and paper everywhere
I go...
Maybe for a short while...but we all know this is going to be permanent...
imagine standing in line somewhere waiting for your turn to write down
your particulars...this is so draconian...
..whilst wearing a mask...and socially distancing with other people in front
and behind you....

I find the App fast and convenient and more secure.
Putting my name and phone number on to lists caused me
to start getting mobile phone calls from Indian fraudsters.
The shops are selling the private info off.

Yes well that would irritate me even more but I don't think you have to download an app to sign in. Just use your camera and after the first time adding your name, phone number it auto-fills each time you do it I think?Bobby wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 6:45 pmBlack Orchid wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 6:14 pmI refuse to get an App. I got one to go to the gym months ago and it kept texting me all day and night with "Hello friend." I have 2 apps -
I normally use the service Victoria App but
at a hospital on Monday I had to use a QR Scanner app.
That had pages of questions for me to fill in.
The hospital wouldn't accept the Service Victoria app.

I've had to sign in at the hospital a few times. They asked for my name and phone number and that was it. All done.

You were lucky -
They wanted to know if I'd been overseas or outside Melbourne
and at least a dozen other questions.
