The use of fear and guilt in religions and by politicians.
Cant help but notice how many politicians are using the same technique as
religions use....fear and guilt....
Google how religions, cults and sects use fear and guilt to brainwash their
flocks....
Cant help but notice the use of fear and guilt by politicians, police, medical
experts when they address the public..
We are made to fear the virus..as we are made to be afraid of the consequences
of being sinners and not repenting....
We are made to feel guilty if we dont do the right thing and obey government
mandates as we are made to feel guilty if we dont repent...
Listening to politicians like Scumo and Gladys reminds me of the many
sermons I experienced back in the day....
This is all psychology being used by politicians...
People are being treated like suckers...

Re: The use of fear and guilt in religions and by politicians.
I've been in a lot of churches my whole life. The beauty of churches is that if you don't agree with what you are hearing, you are free to leave. I've left a few churches over in house politics. A pastor convinces the congregation to rearrange the church "government" and he goes nuts installing "yes men" into positions of leadership. I've seen it happen twice and decided that to fight the system wasn't worth the trouble. My family and several other families left that church and the pastor suddenly accepted a call to lead a church in a faraway state. He left his former church in shambles and it took years for them to recover.
I've also been in well ran churches where there were no egos and arguments were settled by what the Bible said on the subject when possible. The people weren't hypocrites and they held each other accountable for their actions. The church was a well oiled machine and they accomplished a lot with very little drama. One of my former churches has had the same pastor for almost 60 years. They won't let him retire, but at 91 and recently a widower, he will retire soon. Anytime I am voting and I can't cast a vote for any presidential candidate, I write in that pastor. He is that great of a man and still very sharp.
This plandemic is becoming a very dangerous thing concerning the rights and freedoms of individuals. It seems like there is always a new mandate, a new vaccine, or a new deadly strain being introduced. We need to replace a lot of politicians over this tyranny of fear. I want my life back.

Interesting story.
You'll get your life back soon enough.
The USA has a way of recovering from anything.

Re: The use of fear and guilt in religions and by politicians.
The thrust of the OP was to compare religion with politics...
Fear and guilt are both used by religions...and in politics during the plandemic...
I have seen it in Baptist, Pentecostal, Jehovahs Witnesses and Catholic
sermons...
The JW are the worst...
They are a puritanical sect...
I once dated a JW woman...she was a "sunday christian"...
One of her daughters was a brainwashed JW until she saw the light
and left...she was seriously ostracised by members of the congregation
and their elders....
The brainwashing by the politicians during the plandemic is blatant.
So have many of the sermons I have had the misfortune to have to listen
to....
Fear and guilt....
Very cunning....
Very insidious....
And everyone swallows it....

I see we now have to endure another government ad campaign...
One entitled "arm yourself" and the other....well..
...lets just call it "hysteria personified..."
Perhaps we should add hysteria to fear and guilt and lies and
incompetence and...umm...oh well.......I think you get the message....
