Julia Gillard targeted by egg-thrower as she struggles with boat plan
UPDATE 12pm: PRIME Minister Julia Gillard has conceded East Timor is the focus of talks of a "concrete proposal" for a refugee processing centre despite earlier denials she'd ever "announced" any location.
An angry male protester threw an egg at Ms Gillard today in Perth, the ABC reported.
Witnesses said the egg missed and hit another woman in the back - prompting Gillard to apologise to her.
Ms Gillard appeared unfazed by the incident. "I did see something flying past," she told ABC Radio afterwards.
The man who threw the egg is being interviewed by police.
Earlier a number of protesters gathered outside a Perth hotel as Ms Gillard addressed a business breakfast on her first visit as prime minister to the area.
The protesters held placards on environmental and asylum seeker issues

LOL. Dream on.
If Julia gets an egging, Tony had better watch out if he ever get's in the crosshairs of these nutters. You can't seriously think these people are going to preference him and his fearmongering, over Labor.

You have reading comprehension issues. Is it dyslexia or just plain ignorance?
At this point, Julia and the Labor party seem to be doing all the fearmongering. Didn't you see Jules and that nobody polly from some marginal seat in Sydney posing on the war ship while a mock interception took place- or did your blinkers blind you to it?
The TPP preferred polls are taken from 2007 preference flows. Labor introducing their own pacific solution and coupled to the vastly unpopular Cuntroy and his internet filter could see preferences bleed away from them. In case you hadn't realised, Libs would not need Greens preferences to win. They would just need them not to go to Labor.
Do try to read, think and then type- in that order
