Sydney’s Cameron Davis is finally a winner on the US PGA Tour, claiming the Rocket Mortgage Classic in a dramatic five-hole playoff after a remarkable late surge on Sunday.
The 26-year-old’s tournament looked to be over when a bogey on the 16th hole left him two shots behind clubhouse leader Alex Noren, and derailed his momentum after three-straight birdies.
But he holed out from a greenside bunker on 17 for eagle, then made a clutch birdie on the 72nd hole to play the back nine in five-under, forcing an unlikely playoff with Troy Merritt and Joaquin Niemann.

Well done and good for him!
