Greens just as bad as Labor

Post by IQSRLOW » Fri Jul 09, 2010 12:32 am

How much lies, skullduggery and ineptness do we have to endure from the left of politics when the leader of the Greens call for the member to stand down but refuses to pull her snout from the trough?

NSW Greens MP Lee Rhiannon is ignoring calls for her resignation following reports she used taxpayers' money in her bid to become a federal senator.

Senator Bob Brown, the party's federal leader, weighed into the debate on Thursday, suggesting Ms Rhiannon focus on her Senate campaign.

He told reporters in Canberra that he understood she would soon stand down, after conceding she had used her state parliament office as the contact point for her federal campaign.

What a pathetic little beat up that was. She used a one liner on a website - an error of miniscule proportions. She is quitting politics anyway - but can we compare her using a State site to give details of her Federal office - to Peter Reith giving his son a taxpayerfunded phonecard to play with or any of the other fraudulent financial actions MP's commit and get away with?
Greens leader Bob Brown called on Ms Rhiannon yesterday to quit the NSW parliament immediately after learning that she had erred in nominating her state office as the contact point for her federal campaign, as well as plugging her candidacy on the taxpayer-funded, Greens-run website Democracy4sale.org.

Rhiannon should go. But the Libs scams are bigger than any 10 Labor/Green politicians put together. Peter Reith, Michael Wooldridge, Santo Santora etc.
