Perhaps, some people think their "word" is so bloody important that they must post it numerous times?

And some people even *bump* their posts, yes?

FD is aware of the glitch. l even made a topic about it at OzPol in Feedback. It happened last time we moved to a new server. A couple of members got lost then as well because the old link didn't work and there was no redirection and they were unaware of the move and the new link.

Guys a quck google find the problem is known and here is a thread discussing it with a solution.

https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2448981

This post has someones edit solution to core.php.

https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... #p14885336

A post extract from same thread.

Action: FD, it appears that a file on the server called core.php needs to be edited to address an problem with "twig" what ever that is.

Extract: The solution to this problem is with twig and not phpbb. The version of twig in use has coding error with the count() function, which is now being flagged by php 7.2. The solution is to update twig, or for a quick fix just edit the core.php file as stated here:
https://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopi ... 61#p305156

I hope this helps.

Thanks - I can confirm that for me, this quick fix did the trick.

The core.php file mentioned above is: vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Extension/Core.php

Super Nova,
thanks for trying but I don't have any access to the core.php file that I can find.
Even if I did - it's not my software to be modifying.

Bobby,

As a tech savvy EL can you.

1. Do more research based on our current version
2. Validate my advice or correct it.

This helps FD know what change to make.

This helps him, he will make the change but it doesn't hurt if we help him understand the problem and change required, that is, if you want it fixed.

FD is smart enough to take a backup copy of any file he changes just in case he has t revert if it doesn't work.

This is how I worked with FD in the past when we had problems.

I don't have the time to do more right now.

Maybe Bobby could if he is happy with my quick analysis.

Bobby could point FD to this thread there.

Thanks SN,
I have other priorities right now but I will investigate it a bit further.
I have even coded right down to assembly language so I do know a bit.

There's already an ongoing thread on this which FD is aware of. How many do we need? It happened after the change and the link was finally fixed.
