Heh, now Julia has outlined a very sensible refugee plan the policy-free Tone is really starting to look and sound desperate. Next julia will outline something sensible re CC and call the election.skippy. wrote:I get the feeling that the rightards are not happy that Labor have struck a deal, it makes Abbott look pretty silly as he said there was no need for a new tax on the industry, even though the industry agreed it was needed, LOL. Talking about CC, the sun is entering its active state—astronomers were starting to worry about the sun entering a Maunder Minimum—and next summer will not be pleasant! Bloody hot in fact!

So Julia doing a "me too" and implementing a poached Howard policy of her own "pacific solution" is now good eh?
You screeched like cats in heat when it was proposed by Howard.
Just shows how shallow the left really is

Swinging voters who wanted Rudd last election ... because Howard was past it ... will not want this bottle red head back stabber. Gillard is already me-tooing the Opposition's policies. Leftards. No bloody idea of their own.Jovial Monk wrote:Heh, now Julia has outlined a very sensible refugee plan the policy-free Tone is really starting to look and sound desperate. when you want people to stop smoking you tax cigarettes, when you want to put people out of work you tax the mining industry with a stupid tax.

We compare the RRT that will make people better off through cuts to company tax and increased super we have Barnett killing pensioners so the bloody Nats can have their pork barrel, Royalties for Regions:
And of course old Colin had hiked the royalties in this years Budget, hitting mines with higher costs of production.

The Premier Colin Barnett is calling on people to use financial assistance programs to help pay their utility bills instead of turning off their heaters.
Police have confirmed that two people in their seventies and eighties were found dead in their homes last night but the cause of death has not been established.
In the past fortnight, the average mininum temperature in Perth has been 1.3 degrees.
The St Vincent de Paul Society says the cold snap has highlighted the potential consequences of recent rises in utility costs.
The Society's Lucinda Adar says many people simply cannot afford to use heaters.
"Particularly at the moment in WA, it's a financial decision," she said.
"Increases in utilities has hit many people hard, not only the elderly, and I think people are having to make those decisions now "do I turn the heating on, or do I put an extra blanket on my bed?"
Mr Barnett says there are programs available for people who are struggling.
"To family members, if you're concerned about parents, elderly relatives, please make sure that they're well looked after and that they're warm in these cold conditions," he said.
"And, if you need assistance, contact the hardship utility grants scheme."

Speaking of Tone there are a fair few moderate right-of-centre people who despise Tone and would vote for any other centre-right party. The Democrats if they still exist and run candidates may get a surprisingly high vote at the coming election. Even less-radical ALP members could pick up votes from dissatisfied Lib supporters. The Greens too might pick up votes from those who want to protest against the state of the Liberal Party but can’t bring themselves to vote Labor: preferences from these will flow back to the Libs.
Tragedy for the Libs is, the coming election will see a lot of the moderate Lib MHRs lose their seat while far-right drones like Jensen, Somalya and Slipper will hang on to their safe seats. So will those way past their use by dates: Bronny, Tuckey Julie Bishop etc.

Just imagine the deaths if Liebor manages to introduce their other tax grab- carbon taxes/CPRS.The Premier Colin Barnett is calling on people to use financial assistance programs to help pay their utility bills instead of turning off their heaters.
Are they not content with burning peoples homes down? They have to kill people as well by starving and freezing them to death?
