Dont buy a HP.
Biggest piece of crap I have ever purchased.......never again.
Agreed and I have never, ever bought anything HP. I bought a Toshiba laptop, years and years ago. Good one but far too heavy compared to what you get these days. I don't use a laptop any longer, just the desktop which I had built for me by JW Computers in Sydney to my standards - for game playing.
I have a Dell that I think is about 18 years old -
it still goes well but it's very slow with the modern software/bulkware.
I hardly ever use it - I prefer my i7 Quad core desk top.

Doesn't seem faster than the first computer I got with DOS ... then Windows 95, since all I use it for these days is posting on Forums and email stuff. LOL

The bulkware/software now needs a quad core to run it.

Doesn't look like it will compete with a desktop but then again - what can?
Intel Core i5-3317U
Surface Pro runs a dual-core 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5-3317U CPU, with a Turbo Boost frequency of up to 2.6 GHz with a built-in Intel HD Graphics 4000. It has 4 GB of memory and a 64 or 128 GB solid-state drive

I paid 7 grand for it in 2019.
Beautiful machine...
Mine is a laptop version with 1TB of memory and 128 RAM... or is it 64...
