Totally awful time lately

Post by sprintcyclist » Sun May 23, 2021 10:37 pm

I have had a really awful time lately.
Nasty family problems back in NZ. I am glad I left there decades ago. They are self eviscerating.
I have forgiven them and released them from my life. My world has become drearier and emptier.

Have been doing yoga and meditation, woodworking and gardening.
Might find a place that wants a volunteer.
Any suggestions?

I'm having a hard time with my wife, but my family is my rock. I hope you can work it out. My friends and coworkers have been very supportive. Having good friends is key and im not talking about people who are just fun to be around. I have several friends who call me daily to make sure I'm ok during my divorce. It has told me who my best friends really are.

Hectic isn't always a bad thing. It just means that your kids are busy.

I really do admire you Sprint... Life sucks. so your idea is to find an outlet that serves the community!
We need more peeps who think like you.

Find out where your local men's shed is and volunteer, or start one if you don't have one in your area.
Stop in to your local community center and see what services you could offer...

Let us know how it goes.

Oh... I didn't know you were in the midst of a divorce. That is so sad.
Good thing that you have good friends.

Whatever the case, I hope it runs smoothly.

It's a really ugly story, but Texas has "at fault" divorce, which should really help my fate in the courts. I have proof of 2 affairs and some of the proof is graphic screenshots of text messages. She has opened a bank account behind my back and got a credit card and managed to charge $10k that she cannot pay right now. Her lawyer will faint when they see the evidence I have given my lawyer. Her boyfriends have dumped her and she has moved in with her sister and is too ashamed to go out in public. She received her divorce papers this past Friday. Her ex boyfriend who provided me with their texts may have saved me $240k in spousal support. :rofl

I realize that anger isn't my most attractive side, but it's a righteous anger and talking about this helps me deal with it. Thank you for listening. Now back to Sprint's thread. I don't want to step on it here any more.

Good luck and thank goodness you have evidence! :rose

Back to Sprint...

Perhaps you could start a men's group at your local community center.
You could volunteer with meals on wheels as a driver.
You could offer to drive the elderly and disabled to their appointments and help with their shopping chores.
Speak to your local council as they will point you in the right direction.
