Pokies

Post by Bobby » Sun May 16, 2021 7:11 pm

I wanted to find out about any Pokies places near me so I went here:
https://pokiesnearme.net.au/how-to-win-at-the-pokies

And got this false spiel:
Remember, Pokies in Australia are designed to return around 90% to the player.
This means that ultimately, we all lose - although some may have a win.
Please play responsibly, and do not play with money that you cannot afford to lose.

First of all -
Pokies used to be an 89% payout in Victoria but then the Govt
changed it to 87%.

Also - the advice on that page is nonsense.
Bet low until the machine starts winning, then increase the bet
There are many methods that players employ when betting low as a strategy. This is a great way to play machines which appear to be 'running cold'. You never know when a machine is going to start running hot, so keep the bet low until then.

Bet low for 40 games then increase the bet for another 40 games, then increase it again for another 40 games. If the feature or free spins comes up, then start the count again
Bet low, but every 5, 10 or 15 games, increase the bet for that spin.
If you have a reasonable return on a spin, consider playing more lines until you have ran through the amount you won on that spin. The increased lines mean that you may have more returns for non-feature spins, making that win last longer.

Anyway -
I tried their free demo game:
Buffalo Slots:
https://supermegaslot.com/demo/game.php?game=3013

And I kept on winning.
I reached over $5,000 the first night after an hour or so.
I thought - that is a bit strange.
How can it be so easy to win?

I tried it again the next night
and started from $100 and went up to $86,266.

Obviously the game is rigged so that people who try it think it's really easy to win.
So - they give you bad gambling advice and then a fake game to make you think you can win.
Talk about a promotion.

By experimenting with the addresses I found all these games.
I remember some of them from 10 years ago.
I looked recently at a Pokies place and all these old games are gone.
They have very strange new games now.

Of course not -
they are only demonstration games and
they are fake to give people false hope of winning.

The Chinese love them. I went to a really nice little club recently and it was very quiet. Started talking to the manager and he said it was quiet because they didn't have enough pokies for the Chinese. I think I'll try to patronise the place more often.

The Chinese have gambling in their blood - they love it -
they gamble everything - their car, their house their shirt.
I take it that you have never played the pokies?

I think every one has played pokies but generally no I don't play them. I played them in Vegas and won a lot of money but not in Oz because you never win. I'll play Roulette and Black Jack at the casino every half a dozen years or so.
